The SAVE Act (Safeguard American Voter Eligibility) – what BS!

Let’s be honest: voting in this country is already harder than it needs to be, and now some un-American coalition fueled by “white grievance politics” want to make it even harder. And even though The SAVE Act was just voted down – it’s not dead yet. 

The people most at risk are the ones who are least able to afford another barrier to voting.  We have people in Berks who already jump through every damn hoop just to get their vote counted.  That includes seniors who can’t dig up a 70‑year‑old birth certificate; naturalized citizens who’ve done everything right and still get flagged by a broken federal database or ICE; folks working two jobs just to make ends meet and don’t have the time or money to chase down paperwork just to prove what they already know - that they are citizens of the United States.  Or worse, people staying home because they fear being picked up by ICE because of the color of their skin or the spelling of their name.  There is no significant election fraud - in fact it’s rare - but MAGA loyalists want to add even more obstacles with The SAVE Act. And we all know that their “SAVE America Act” is not about election security.  It’s about making voting so complicated, so intimidating, so exhausting that voters give up.  It’s the only way they can win.
