FACTS vs LIES: ALEX PRETTI AND RENEE GOOD

LIE #1: Alex Pretti pointed a gun at federal agents. Federal officials initially claimed Pretti approached agents with a 9mm handgun and “violently resisted.”
FACT: Bystander videos and showed Pretti was holding a cell phone, not a gun, in the moments before he was tackled.

LIE #2: Agents shot Pretti because he posed an immediate lethal threat. Federal officials said the agent fired “fearing for his life.”
FACT: Pretti was pepper sprayed, wrestled to the ground by several agents, and was pinned when shots were fired.

LIE #3: Pretti was a “domestic terrorist.” The Trump administration labeled him a domestic terrorist who intended to attack law enforcement.
FACT: Pretti had no criminal record. He was a VA ICU nurse, licensed and employed.

Renée Good was shot and killed by an ICE agent during a January enforcement operation in Minneapolis, despite bystander video showing she was seated in her SUV and not posing a threat. Federal officials released shifting and unsubstantiated claims about the incident, blocked state investigators from the scene, and later redirected scrutiny toward her wife — a pattern that has raised serious questions about the integrity of the investigation.
